Movies for cold days

Hello sunshine. We all know that cold winter days are for watching movies on warm blankets while eating lots of food. True heaven but the movies have to be great. So here are my suggestions for you.

·         Before sunrise (trilogy)
An american romantic drama… It all starts with “Before Sunrise” in 1995. It follows the story of Jesse,a young American boy and Celine, a French pretty girl. They meet on a train and decide to stop in Vienna and spend the night walking around the city and getting to know each other. But what happens? The plot continues on 2004 “ Before sunset”, nine years after they met and then on 2013 “ Before midnight” 18 years after. The most sincere reflection of human’s deepest feelings, emotions and love.

·         Black swan
Come and talk a walk to the caves of the mind. The thoughts, the perfection we crave and the glory. All this in one movie, an American psychological thriller that follows the life of a ballerina, a young ballerina, the greatest ballerina… Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis starring make this movie, one of a kind.

·         I origins
A 2014, science fanstasy drama that makes your head spin. Mike Cahill is officially one of my favorite film directors. The actors play is totally amazing. As IMDB says : “A molecular biologist and his laboratory partner uncover evidence that may fundamentally change society as we know it.”  Their evidence may or may not change society, but this movie will totally change you.

·         One day
Ah romance, romance. Em and Dexter are the best friends, too much in love. Until one day… Good movies are rare, and this one is a treasure.

·         Another earth
An American 2011 science-fiction drama. This one is from Mike Cahill too. Another earth, a young girl with dreams, a tragic accident… What happens next?  Discover it on 90 minutes. Caution !After the movie ends, you will be in shock for like 15 minutes.

·         Comet
Another romance, but mixed with some comedy now. The parallel universes of love and possibility. Justin Long made one of his best appearances on this one.

·         Playing it cool
As a writer, and also as a hopeless romantic, I found this movie relatable. Even if you don’t like comedy, you will definitely love this one. What are you supposed to do when you have to write a romantic book but you don’t believe in love?

·         In lieu of flowers

Maybe this one isn’t one of those movies you have heard everywhere about. And yeah, this isn’t the usual romantic movie. There’s the moment you find love and then you lose it. What happens in between?  Eric and Rachel know. Click below for the trailer

Much love, Ana.
